Creating a Document Template

To create a document template, follow the steps given below.

1. Navigate to the Documents & Files option in the Side Bar.

The Documents & Files page will be displayed.

2. To create a document template, click the Create button.

The Create dialog will be displayed.

3. Click the Document Template button.

4. Select the type of document template that you wish to create. The available options are PDF and Excel formats.

5. If you select Word/Excel template.

The Create My Templates dialog will be displayed.

6. Enter the name of the document template in the text entry box.

7. Select the file that you wish to add to the document template by clicking the Select File option.

The File Upload dialog will be displayed.

8. Select the file that you wish to upload and click the Open button.

The selected file will be added to the field.

9. Select the type of the document from the drop down list. The available options are Sales, Rental Car, Contract, Call Info, Task, Invoice, Payment and Material.

10. Enter the internal comments if any, in the Internal Comments text entry box.

11. Click the Save button.

The new word or excel format document template will be created.

12. If you select PDF template.

The Create My Templates dialog will be displayed.

13. Enter the name of the template in the text entry box.

14. Select the type of the template from the drop down list. The available options are Sales, Vehicle, Client, Call, Task, Invoice, Payment, Material and File.

15. To select the template click the Select button.

The standard Open dialog will be displayed.

16. Select the template file that you wish to create and click the Open button.

The selected file will be added to the field.

17. Select the option from the drop down list. The available options are Template for Person and Template for Organization.

18. Enter the internal comments if any, in the Internal Comments text entry box.

19. Click the Save button.

The new PDF format document template will be created.
