A stand-up meeting / morning roll call / daily scrum is a meeting in which attendees participate while standing, discomfort keeps it short.

The meetings are usually between 5-15 minutes.
All members are encouraged to attend, the meeting is not postponed if some of the team members are not present.
The crucial feature is a communication vehicle for the team and not as a status update to management.

Team members may sometimes ask for short clarifications and make brief statements, such as "Let's talk about this more after the meeting"

The goal is to stick as closely as possible to these 3 questions:
  1. What did I accomplish yesterday?
  2. What will I do today?
  3. What obstacles are impeding my progress?
