Writing Error-Free Procedures

Even after years of errors and succeeding, understand doesn’t end well for any of us. We forget about the far end things and focus on what’s right ahead of us. That is nature.  Who thinks about a coming year when one is worried of a coming month?

Writing Error-Free Procedures

CONTENTS

It’s not a time to take shortcuts. If you take shortcuts, soon they will catch up. For example, an entrepreneur has to train or re-educate his workers as the enterprise contracts.

You ultimately need well-reinforced, updated, and free-of-error plans and policies.

If you don’t have complete and reliable policies and procedures;

  • Employees don’t get sufficient training
  • Missed tread
  • Discontented customer growth
  • Dropping out of race and competition

To be successful in your enterprise, policies must be easily understood, followed, and updated. To ensure that your policies are successful, keep the following;

Clarity

Create your policies in a way they can be read smoothly and quickly.

Correctness

The procedures must be correct grammatically and syntactically. If the procedures are written, there shouldn’t be spelling mistakes. If the procedures are in video or audio, be satisfied that the speaker utters words correctly, talks openly, and uses the right style for the audience.

Consistency

In this, we say constancy actions and consistent results. This is real, especially when educating employees on new procedures they are new to. If you give the policy to two employees and the results are different, it means there is a fault in the procedure.

Completeness

For clear reasons, your policies and documents don’t need to have gaps in the information, reasoning, or plan. Incomplete rules mean you cannot get the required outcome.

Context

Policies must be precise and suitable and describe the action to be conducted. All procedures are affected and affect other policies.

Control

For your procedure to be effective, it needs to include a feedback loop and process control. Familiarize yourself with the Do-check-act cycle. (Think you are? Indeed, a refresher won’t harm you. Self- satisfaction is the enemy)

Your compliance

Every policy is created to ensure compliance. Users need standards, regulations, and business requirements. Make sure you address all procedure requirements.

With careful attention to the rules above, one will create error-free procedures and policies, hence the desired result.
